1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Husika platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

Husika is a public participation platform designed to facilitate citizen engagement with government policies in Kenya. Our services include policy access, simplified explanations, feedback submission, and policy discussions.

3. User Registration and Accounts

To access certain features of our platform, you may need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Conduct

When using Husika, you agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
• Upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service
• Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent

5. Intellectual Property

The Husika platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Husika and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

6. User Content

By submitting content to Husika, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute your content in any existing or future media. This license is for the purpose of operating and improving our platform.

You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights to the content you post, and that such content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to Husika immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Husika, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
